Derek Saxenmeyer is an independent recording engineer, mixer, and producer based in Prague, Czech Republic.
 

When working with artists in the studio, Derek seeks to realize their creative ideas and vision, remaining sensitive to their material while enhancing its sonic dynamism and maintaining a sense of impact and musicality.
 

Derek has trained under Grammy Award-winning mixers and producers Andy Wallace (Jeff Buckley, Linkin Park, Nirvana) and Chris Lord-Alge (Deftones, Green Day, Paramore).
 

His discography encompasses singles and albums for major labels such as Warner, EMI, Interscope, Virgin, and Supraphon, and for Independent labels such as Rare Noise, ARTA and Indies.
 

Derek has worked on several award-winning projects. Artists that he has recorded, mixed, and produced have won Andel Awards (Czech Grammy), Independent Music Awards and Canadian Folk Music Awards, among others.
